2020 – WTF?

What a year! – If anything, 2020 taught us all to appreciate what we have, nurture what we enjoy, and defend what we value. 2020 was also a lesson in the need to adapt. Case it point:

My long-term job at the wine bar is gone, or at least on a long pause, but I continue to help in other ways. Adapting their brand to the new normal – TO GO dining – and thanks to the Oregon legislature, now there are TO GO Cocktails  – Cheers! – But Don’t Drink & Drive!

I also had the opportunity to share my passion for wine with lots of new folks, some of which still aren’t wearing their mask I’m sure.

And I finally got to work a full harvest as a seasonal cellar hand at an urban winery – The wine press does not clean itself!

Let’s hope 2021 is a little more smooth, compassionate and competent – but I’ll be enjoying a 2020 Beaujolais Nouveau before popping those bubbles at midnight –  Happy New Year.
